Arts and Crafts Architects in the Lake District

Broad Leys, Windermere

A rare opportunity to visit two of the best “Arts and Crafts” houses to be designed and built in the Lake District. A private guided tour of Broad Leys, designed by Charles Francis Annesley Voysey, and Blackwell House, designed by Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott. Both houses are located just south of Bowness-on-Windermere, each with outstanding views over Windermere. With little change to the interiors since their original constructions, they both show wonderful details of the “Arts and Crafts” style in fixtures and fittings. The afternoon will finish with a cream tea in the Tea Room of Blackwell House. This is being planned as a “Make your own travel arrangements” and we would encourage car-sharing. More details and Booking Forms are available by clicking on the links below. Apologies but limited numbers mean MEMBERS ONLY, pre-booking essential.
